Terms of Service – Alpine Pedal and Paddle

By booking a rental with Alpine Pedal and Paddle (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you (“the customer”) agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Rental Agreement

  • Rentals include e-bikes, kayaks, canoes, and related gear.
  • All equipment remains the property of Alpine Pedal and Paddle.
  • You must return all equipment in the same condition as received, minus normal wear and tear.

2. Customer Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the safe and lawful use of all rental equipment.
  • Helmets and safety gear are strongly recommended and may be required by law.
  • You agree not to operate equipment under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

3. Age & Eligibility

  • E-bike rentals are available to customers 18 years of age or older only.
  • Kayaks, canoes, and other watercraft may be rented by individuals of any age, but all minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during use.
  • Valid government-issued ID may be required at pickup.

4. Damage, Loss, or Theft

  • You are financially responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of rental items during the rental period.
  • A security deposit or credit card may be held for incidentals.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund.
  • Same-day cancellations may not be refunded.
  • Weather-related closures may result in rescheduling or credit at our discretion.

6. Payment Terms

  • All rentals must be paid in full prior to equipment release.
  • Accepted payment methods include major credit cards and other methods listed at checkout.

7. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

  • Outdoor activities carry inherent risks. By renting, you accept full responsibility for your safety and actions.
  • Alpine Pedal and Paddle is not liable for any injury, accident, or property damage arising from equipment use.

8. Privacy

  • Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

9. Changes to These Terms

  • We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the current version.
